Took a tour to Knossos on the Greek island of Crete, the site of the ancient Minoan civilization. The buildings and frescoes have been partially restored so it is difficult to deterimine what is original. The hightlight was supposed to by the throne room, but after waiting in a long line in the heat it seemed rather disappointing. After touring the site, the tour bus dropped us off in the main square of Heraklion. We had a nice lunch before reboarding the tour bus and returning to the ship.
