Emma celebrated her 9th birthday at home with Mom and Dad. At the beginning of July, we got to see the beautiful houseboat on Lake Union that Emma's 2nd grade teacher (Ms. Hensley) lived on for several months (Lake Union also has the houseboat from "Sleepless in Seattle" movie). Emma's 3rd grade teacher (Ms. Rybock) loaned the canoe for rides on the lake!

During the summer, Emma enjoyed playing in the sand and on the playset at Golden Gardens beach. She also used her allowance to have her face painted as a brown tabby cat at the Fremont street fair. In the last picture, Emma took a break from our bike ride through Elliot Bay park to climb the parallel bars.
