At the beginning of July, Emma took a boat from Seattle to Vashon Island for a six day overnight camp (through Camp Fire USA). The following five weeks she kept busy with an afternoon gymnastics camp. It was such a hit that she is continuing gymnastics during the school year. At the beginning of August, we went to Wild Waves to ride roller coasters and water slides for the day. The next weekend we road our bikes to Golden Gardens so Emma could play on the climbing structure. We also visited Volunteer Park in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle to see the beautiful dahlias in bloom.
