Nothing like shooting a non-Sig to appreciate a Sig.
I recently replaced the worn out barrel in my vintage WW-II 1911 and shot it for the first time today. It was making tight groups but I had quite a few flyers mainly because the trigger is extra crunchy giving me problems with trigger control. I've detail stripped it, cleaned & lubed it so I know it's in good condition just the way it was machined.
Then I picked up my Sig Sauer P220ST and emptied an 8 round mag inside a 3" circle at 75 feet. After shooting that old 1911 the P220ST felt like a bionic laser gun extension of my arm - awesome ergos, balance, smooth, crisp light trigger, just so amazing I felt like I couldn't miss. For a few months now, while I've been replacing the barrel on that 1911, the only handguns I've been shooting are my Sigs and I started taking them for granted. I was totally amazed how great the Sig felt after shooting a non-Sig. That 1911 is a great shooter and a piece of history but firearms have come a long way since then.
